Roger is president at Process Renewal Group and the author of the pioneering book ‘Business Process Management: Profiting from Process’, the ‘Business Process Manifesto’ and the ‘Business Agility Manifesto’. His latest book: Business Architecture: Collecting, Connecting and Correcting the Dots has just been released.
Roger developed the first Business Process and Business Architecture practices in the world in 1991!
Having worked with over 200 organizations globally to transform from traditional organizations to more professionally managed ones, he is is recognized as a world leader in establishing a business value delivery model supported by Business Architecture practices.
In his session, Roger will discuss what we need to assure the component dots of business and enterprise architecture are connected in a way that contribute to a compelling narrative and great design.
Many times we see the use of EA being purely technology-focused, used for activities like Application Portfolio Management, Technology Life-cycle Management, Information Security Management.
However, in this session, Badari will be taking us over HP's “Business Side” implementation of EA in their Finance organization.
Badari will be showing a few examples of the work HP Finance has done across their modeling of Trading Structures, Supply Chain and Legal Entity Structures with a focus on the impact they have had, with a repository backed EA system, over when they used to do this work on Visio and PowerPoint.
Han, Group Business Architect at Shell, will discuss Shell's journey to assess Business capabilities and investments.
Han will elaborate on Shell's approach for Capability Investment planning and explains why Architecture is indispensable during this journey.
Joe is a Senior Member of Technical Staff and Director of Enterprise Architecture at T-Mobile, USA. Joe began his career in 1994, and has worked in diverse industries including Social Media, Government, Pharmaceuticals, and Telecommunications.
At T-Mobile, Joe is one of the leaders of the SAFe Agile transformation initiative and is working to pivot the architecture disciplines to align with the new software development lifecycle while continuing to support the legacy SDLC.
In his session, Joe will talk over the role of Solution Architecture in T-Mobile and how, using the power of Enterprise Architecture, the Solution Architecture team at T-Mobile can get better, more aligned and faster "execution ready” Solution Architectures.

In his session, he will look at what the EA team needs to do to truly embed itself in the decision-making process. How EA can go beyond their comment reputation of the “Standards Police” and “Architectural Approval Board” and, instead, become a collaborator, enabler, and the intersect point between the many departments and functions in the enterprise.
